Online Research

Research House was founded in 1976 and conducted their first online project in 1997. Today, over 30% of research is done online. As the community grows, more and more respondents are becoming available in this exciting and diverse space. One of the most appealing benefits of online research is it’s “no-borders” approach, which can reach respondents whether they are professionals, entrepreneurs, or consumers. This is where your audience conducts their business, socializes, and shares information. Whether your target audience is local or international, online surveying allows you to talk to them quickly and easily.

Research House has a full suite of programming and hosting functions that allow you to survey your customers quickly, and efficiently. We also do all our data manipulation in-house, so your research stays confidential and secure right through to delivery—in whatever format you require.

Today, a rapidly increasing percentage of research is done online. Results are typically available faster with a speedy turn-around from field start to final results. Additionally, respondents tend to be less biased and low incidence samples are generally easier to obtain.

Immersive technologies such as video can be used to boost respondent interest, and on the home front, recent data suggests over 80% of Canadians are now available in the online space.

Online Reporting

Real-time online reporting tools provide you with up to the minute snapshots of your study's results. These can be as simple as basic top lines with bar charts to fully weighted tables. Our programming team also offers custom reporting tools which can be built from the ground up using a multitude of online technologies.

Some examples:

Data Quality

Research House takes data quality very seriously. We recognize the need for continual monitoring while your study is in field. Our expert data processing analysts also run through various quality checks once field is closed and before your data or tables are delivered.

Online surveys present some unique data quality issues that our protocols handle. The following respondent types are identified, deleted, and replaced without charge:

  • Straightliners: respondents who provide the same response to every question
  • Speeders: those who complete the survey too quickly—our quality control department regularly scans verbatim responses looking for redundancies.
